About

Lew Andrada first discovered his love of writing at a young age.  Inspired by Saturday morning cartoons and videogames, he created fanfiction adventure stories featuring characters like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the cast of Final Fantasy VI.  He began writing original fiction during his college days, focusing on speculative fiction (mostly science fiction and fantasy).  After graduating, he found a job in the health sciences.  He continued writing on the side and took creative writing classes from the UCLA Extension.  In 2012, he received a certificate in creative writing from the UCLA Extension Writers' Program.  Then in 2014, he was accepted into the Stonecoast MFA Program at the University of Southern Maine and began his first semester in early 2015.  His short fiction has appeared in the UCLA Beat, Literary Hatchet, and Unlikely Story.
